Since 2023

my story

The idea of Nikas Bikes began around 2008, when I got my first “real” bike while in college, and began welding racecar frames for the University of Wisconsin Formula SAE team. This was the beginning of a passion for bikes and fabrication that continued through graduate school, and eventually my career as an architectural designer. After working in Academia, Corporate and Residential architecture for 12 years, the itch for fabrication and the desire to build custom bikes became something I could no longer ignore. I attended frame building school in the winter of 2023, and have been perfecting the craft of frame building ever since. Each frame is hand crafted by me, in my workshop to order.

Nikas is an ode to my Lithuanian heritage, and also a combination of my first and last names.
